Who is responsible
The data controller is Fernando Margareto (NIF 53604383P), Yátova (Valencia), Spain. Contact: info@unitcirclelab.com.
Using the tools
You can use every tool without giving any personal data. Calculations run in your browser; the angles and values you type are not sent to us.
Browser storage (localStorage)
The site saves a few things in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else:
ucl-prefs: your preferences for light or dark mode, degrees or radians, and Letter or A4 paper.ucl-practice: your practice progress, best scores and practice settings.
You can delete it at any time with “Reset progress” on the practice page or by clearing your browser’s site data. The site keeps working if local storage is blocked; it just won’t remember anything.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your email address, your message and, if you give it, your name. They are sent to our mailbox by email. We use them only to read and answer your message; we do not use them for marketing and do not add you to any list. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages are kept in our mailbox only for as long as we need them to reply, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time by writing to info@unitcirclelab.com.
To stop automated abuse, the form keeps a hashed, non-readable version of your IP address on the server for one hour. It cannot be turned back into the address and is deleted automatically.
Hosting and server logs
Our hosting provider is Hostinger, which runs the server this website is on. Like any web server, it records technical data about each request, such as the IP address, browser type and time, in server logs used for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors. We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, and, if you allow it, to personalize them. How Google uses this data is explained at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can manage ad personalization at My Ad Center.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: before any non-essential cookies are used, a consent message from Google’s certified consent management platform asks for your choice. You can change it later with the privacy settings link or button that the message adds to the page.
- US states with privacy laws (such as California): Google’s message lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising.
Google may process data outside your country under its own safeguards. See the Cookie Policy for details about cookies.
Children
The site is made for high school and college students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to or restrict its processing, and you can ask for data portability, by writing to info@unitcirclelab.com. If you think your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
